College Admissions Consultant - Karen S Gee, MA

Let’s navigate the college planning & admissions journey together!

Our work will result in building a cohesive narrative of who you are and why your top college choice should welcome you with open arms!

Let’s Begin!

In my years as a college consultant, it’s been my experience that when students view the application process as an adventure—a journey of self-discovery—clients not only have a better chance of landing the college of their dreams, but also get an added benefit in the process: they gain invaluable insight about themselves that can serve them throughout their lives.

I work with students locally in California as well as all around the U.S. via ZOOM, other online formats, phone, and email.

Meet Karen

For years, Karen’s helped college-bound students navigate the application process with confidence, grace and sensitivity. A reader for the Stanford admissions department (having read over 2000 personal statements by Stanford applicants alone), as well as a seasoned college consultant and college success coach, her roster of satisfied clients have gone on to thrive on college campuses such as Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Brown, University of Pennsylvania, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, USC, Pomona, Amherst, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Rice, University of Michigan, and Georgia Tech.

Karen’s deep knowledge of the higher education field as a retired UC Berkeley public health instructor and coach for 30 years adds value and insight into college admissions and the transition from high school to college life.

Karen’s own educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from UC Berkeley and a Master's degree in Multicultural Education from the University of San Francisco, and she’s the proud mom of a 30-year-old daughter who graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford and holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.
